Craft Supplies to Have on Hand!

My child loves to create and make crafts and I find it is much easier to be able to stop everything and craft if I have some key supplies on hand. Some items you can have on hand are:

  • Construction Paper
  • Plain Paper
  • Painters Tape and Scotch Tape
  • Scissors (kid scissors once they are old enough) as well as “fancy scissors” that create patterns.
  • Glue (white glue and glue sticks)
  • Washable Paint, Paint Brushes, watercolor paint, and paint sponges
  • Markers, Pencil Crayons, and Crayons.
  • Googly eyes
  • Pipe Cleaners
  • Stickers and Crafting Gemstones
  • Pom-Poms
  • Craft Sticks
  • Glitter (not for the faint of heart)
  • Stamps
  • Tissue Paper
  • Pony Beads
  • Yarn
  • Shaving Cream
  • Clay (quick-dry clay and modeling clay)
  • Paper Plates
  • Q-tips
  • Cotton balls
  • Coffee Filters
  • Food Coloring
  • Cream of Tartar (to make playdough, most other items you will likely have on hand).
  • Clothes Pins
  • Contact Paper
  • Feathers
  • Recyclables (Toilet paper rolls, cardboard, Kleenex boxes, egg cartons)

This is obviously a pretty long list, but if you have a few of each of these things, you can make hundreds of different crafts and activities with your child! If you check out my Instagram account, you can get some inspirations for how to use all these supplies!
